How can I move my videos in VOD into Panopto?
NOTE: Only move videos that you created or were created by other instructors at Kirkwood. If you need streaming rights to copyrighted materials, complete the Faculty Video Request Form.
You can request your VOD titles to be copied into your Panopto folder using the VOD Panopto Form. You will need to know the URL or the unique ID of the VOD title. And you will need to identify the destination folder in Panopto -- How to find your Panopto Folder ID.
Steps to Move a VOD Title to Panopto
- Go to the VOD Panopto Form site
- Enter the VOD ID or URL
- Select if you are the creator of the video or if a colleague created the video
- (Optional) Click the Add Another Video button to include more VOD titles in the move
- Paste in the destination Panopto folder ID for these videos (you can move them around in Panopto as needed)
- Click the Submit button
The system will let you know if any titles have been moved into Panopto already. If they have, you might be able to search in Panopto for the video. Or reach out to an instructional designer in AISD and we can help locate the video in Panopto. The process to copy the video into Panopto currently runs overnight, so it should be in your Panopto folder the following morning.
