How do I enter attendance (H's and G's) in EagleNet?

At the beginning of class, students must show proof that they are attending a class.  In a face-to-face class, this means that students need to show up in person to class.  In an online class, this means that students have to do something substantive in TALON (e.g., complete a discussion post, take a syllabus quiz, etc.).  If a student has attended class, an "H" is entered in EagleNet.  If a student does not attend class, a "G" is entered in EagleNet.  This one-time attendance verification is important because affects financial aid as well as administrative withdrawals from classes.

At Kirkwood, the process of entering H's and G's is automated for online courses (and hybrid courses that have online attendance assignments).  For face-to-face courses, the process of entering H's and G's is still manual.  Here are the steps to follow to enter attendance in EagleNet:
  1. Log into MyHub. Locate the link for EagleNet and select it.
  2. Log into EagleNet using your k-number and password.
  3. Select "EagleNet for Faculty."
  4. Select "Grading."
  5. In the dropdown menu, choose the appropriate term (e.g., "Fall 2025").  Click "Submit."
  6. In the dropdown menu, choose "Midterm/Intermediate."  Click the radio button next to the course for which you want to enter attendance.  Click "Submit."
  7. Attendance is entered in the first fillable column.  Enter "H" for student each student who has attended class.  Enter "G" for each student who has not attended class.  Remember that you can change G's to H's (when a student attends class) but NEVER change H's back to G's.
  8. When you are done entering in attendance, click "Submit."
  9. Click "OK" on the confirmation page that appears.
  10. Log out of EagleNet when you are finished and close the window or tab.
If you ever questions about entering attendance in EagleNet, feel free to reach out the instructional design team or the registrar's office.
