How can I rearrange modules in Talon’s Course Content?
Drag and Drop
You will notice a 8 dot icon next to each module and submodule in the Table of Contents. The same 8 dot icon appears next to each content item in the main section to the right. Click down on this icon to grab hold of the item and keep the mouse button pressed down. Then drag the item to its new location. You can drag it on top of another module and release to move the item into that module. The module will be highlighted when your mouse is in the correct spot to release. You can also move content items up and down within a module. A line will appear as you drag the item up or down to indicate where the item will be dropped when you release the mouse button. This takes a little practice and it is not uncommon to move items more than once to get them into the correct spot.
If the drag and drop is frustrating you, there is a Move-to menu option under the action menu for each module and submodule when loaded in the main section. After selecting "Move to" from the action menu, choose the destination, and click the Move button.
Course Builder
Click on Course Admin > Course Builder to begin. The Course Builder also has drag and drop functionality for quickly moving and rearranging contents. Each module and submodule is a gray rectangle and each topic is a blue rectangle. Click on any rectangle and drag it to a new location or into destination module. The Course Builder doesn't display the item descriptions, so this can be helpful when the titles alone have all the information you need.
