Can I submit a quiz attempt for a student?

Yes, instructors can submit a quiz attempt that is currently in-progress. This is sometimes necessary when the quiz isn't set to auto-submit when time expires and the student does not finish (i.e. submit) the quiz before exiting Talon.

How to submit a quiz a student started

  1. You should be able to see the in-progress attempt from Course Admin > Quizzes > action menu next to the title and choose “Grade”.
  2. At the top of the Grade Quiz page, next to the “Search For…” box, click on Show Search Options.
  3. Change the Restrict to dropdown to “Users with an attempt in progress”.
  4. Click the search icon (magnifying glass) in the Search For box above.

This should list any students with an in-progress quiz. Next to the Attempt #, you will see a little impersonation icon. Click this icon and you will be able to submit the attempt for the student.
