How can allow a student to take another quiz attempt or retake a quiz?
The quiz Special Access settings can be used to permit additional attempts as well as unique due dates and availability dates for the students selected.
Setting up Special Access
- Click on Course Admin > Quizzes > edit the quiz settings
- Toggle open the Availability Dates & Conditions section on the right
- Click the Manage Special Access Link
- Leave the first option selected “Allow selected users special access to this quiz”
- Click on the Add Users to Special Access button
- Change the date requirements if needed
- Change the attempts allowed to allow more attempts
- Select the user(s) that these settings will apply to
- Click the Save button to save your selection and settings
- Save and Close the Special Access window
- Save and Close the quiz settings
Note: Deleting/Resetting an attempt will also permit a user to take a quiz again, but the historical data will be lost. Learn more about resetting a quiz attempt in the Talon Faculty User's Guide.
