How can I automatically add tags to a PDF document that does not have a tags tree in Adobe Acrobat?
In Adobe Acrobat, you can automatically add tags to a document that does not have a tags tree.
- Open your PDF file and click “Accessibility” in the menu on the right-hand side. (If it is not on the right-hand side, find it in the "Tool" menu, search for "Accessibility" tool, and select to open it.)
- Click “Autotag Document.”
- After that, click the “Tag” icon on the left-hand side to view or edit the tags.
Note 1: If it is scanned document, first use "Scan & OCR" tool, then "Autotag Document".
Note 2: The easiest and most effective approach is to first auto-tag the entire document, then manually adjust the tags as needed. Auto-tags often contain incorrect properties that require manual review and correction.
