If I text my students, will they have my cell phone number?
The short answer is, no, they won't. Privacy is the cornerstone of the Remind platform. The Remind system knows your number and it knows the students' number, but these numbers are not shared with the end user. Instead, new numbers are generated. You can think of them as forwarding phone numbers.
This setup also allows you to set in your preferences when you want to receive Remind messages and when you don't. You can set office hours under your Name Menu > Account Settings > Notification Preferences.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Notification Preferences page to set or disable your office hours.
