How can I create a custom widget to put on my course homepage?

You can create custom widgets for the course homepage under Course Admin > Widgets. 
  1. Click the blue Create Widget button at the top of the Widgets page
  2. Give the widget a name. The name will appear to students by default. 
  3. The description is optional. Only instructors (course editors) can see this text.

  4. Click on the Content tab
  5. Enter text, images, video and any other content you want students to see in the widget

  6. Click the Save and Close button
Now that you've created a custom widget, you will need to add it to a custom homepage for students to see. How do I add a widget to my homepage?
