Fees
Kirkwood Test Center administers a variety of fee-based exams. Please review the list of exams, fees, and payment methods below.
Sorry, cash is not accepted for any exam at Kirkwood Test Center.

HESI | $50 | At the Kirkwood Bookstore (Benton Hall 1st floor). Bring your receipt with you to the Test Center. |
Iowa Dental Board | $20 | Via RegisterBlast at the time of registration. |
Iowa Plumbing and Mechanical Systems Board | $119 | In advance by calling Continuing Education at (319) 398-1022. |
Lead abatement | $65 | Bring a check or money order payable to Kirkwood Community College with you to the Test Center. |
Pesticides | $20 | Via RegisterBlast at the time of registration. |
Pesticides (approved Kirkwood students only) | No fee | Your name and K number must be on the approved students list provided to the Test Center by the Agriculture Sciences department. |
Proctored exam for another institution (Iowa community colleges) | No fee | You must be taking an exam for an Iowa community college to waive the fee. |
Proctored exam for another institution (all other institutions) | $20 | Via RegisterBlast at the time of registration. |
TEAS | $70 + tax | Bring a debit or credit card with you to the Test Center. You will pay online immediately prior to your exam starting. |

Refunds
Kirkwood Test Center's refund procedure applies only to fees paid via RegisterBlast. Exam fees paid outside of RegisterBlast go to the exam sponsor or program. For a refund of fees paid outside of RegisterBlast, contact your exam sponsor or program for more information.
If you need to cancel an appointment for which you have paid a fee in RegisterBlast, please contact us. We will refund 50% of your fee if you cancel up to the day before your appointment. If you cancel the day of your exam or you miss your appointment, your fee is non-refundable.
Don't pay twice if you don't have to! In most cases, we are happy to reschedule your exam to another day (subject to availability) to avoid forfeiture of your fee.
