Yes! Artificial Intelligence can help anyone plan ahead and tackle complex tasks.
Controlling Stress by Managing Time
Even the most organized people need help every once and a while in allocating their time, so it's doubly-important to help students develop the skills of time management, especially when it comes to high-stakes, time-consuming, summative assessments.
Planning ahead, breaking down complicated processes into smaller-scale steps, and building in buffers for completion or revision are important when discussing any significant assessment or homework project. Such approaches or mind-sets help everyone - whether they are in school or not. Not feeling the rush to complete something helps reduce the stress in any learner's academic life, so how can this be done?
Goblin.tools, developed with ADHD students in mind, supports all learners by asking them to provide their task and as estimate of its complexity or difficulty (indicated by the number of chili peppers). Goblin.tools then breaks down the project into its smaller, more manageable, component parts. If a user thinks the level of detail is not enough, the AI can drill down even further to break steps down into even more distinct steps.
Once the tool has provided the list of steps, learners can ask it to estimate the time of completion for each, as well as independently add subtasks.
